Dr Guillaume Ploussard

Guillaume Ploussard (MD, PhD) is working as uro-oncologist in Toulouse, France (Institut Universitaire du Cancer – Oncopole, La Croix du Sud Hospital). After Medical School at the University of Paris, he completed a robotics fellowship at the Department of Urology, McGill University in Canada in 2013. He qualified from the Paris V University in Urology and Oncology. His main areas of interest include basic (biomarkers in prostate cancer) and clinical (focal therapy, fusion biopsies, minimally invasive techniques) research that has been funded by research grants in uro-oncology. He served as Chairman of the EAU working group on prostate cancer from 2015 to 2019. He is currently editor in other journals (World Journal of Urology, Progrès en Urologie, European Urology Today). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the EAU Uro-Oncology Platform. He is a member of the EAU section of Oncological Urology, and of the French Cancerology Committee (CC-AFU). He has published more than 190 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He was awarded the John Blandy Award by the BJUI in 2012, the Resident Corner Award by European Urology in 2010, the Alexandre Joël Award and the Chirurgiens de l’Avenir Award in 2009. He is a member of the Scientific Congress Office for the Congrès Français d’Urologie.
