M. Carmen Mir

M. Carmen Mir (MD, PhD) is working as uro-oncologist in Valencia, Spain (Fundacion Instituto Valenciano Oncologia, Valencia Spain). After Medical School at the University of Barcelona, she proceeded with urology residency at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. Thereafter, she completed a urologic oncology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation between 2011 and 2014 accredited by the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO). She obtained her PhD on Surgery at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Her main areas of interest include bladder and kidney cancer clinical and translational research. She obtained a La Caixa Fellowship Grant for overseas training in 2012-2014. She was a member of the EAU- Young Academic Urologists Renal Cancer Group from 2016 till 2021. She is currently associate editor of Frontiers in Genitourinary Surgery. She is also a current full-board member of European Section of Urologic Oncology (ESOU) within EAU and faculty member at EUREP (European Urology Residents Education Programme). She has published more than 120 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
